(Take Care of Our Land)
|
We must take care of our land. Do not litter, do not treat it with
disrespect. It gives us our sustenance and gives us life. We do not
want to end up like big metropolitan cities with severe air and land
pollution. We can still see the stars without pollution blocking
our view. We can still walk for miles and enjoy a clean environment.
But this will change if we do not take care of our land.
Already
we have problems with abandoned mines, wasteland, landfills, and
air pollution from irresponsible energy companies. Lets start from
an individual basis and the community to take care of our environment.
It is important to us! "How we protect the land, air, soil, and water
and prevent it from destruction depends primarily on our cultural
values and the respect that our grandmother has taught us as young
children."
Tips for caring for the Earth:
- Recycle aluminum cans, newspaper, glass bottles, paper, etc.
- Use Cloth Bags as grocery bags
- Turn lights not in use OFF
- Minimize water use by taking shorter showers
- Don't leave the shower or faucet running
